serious cockroach issue behind the walls made for an uncomfortable stay

    good location

Our stay was completely overshadowed by a serious cockroach infestation. We spotted them multiple times, nesting behind the wall of the apartment — this was clearly not a one-off, but an ongoing pest problem the property was already aware of. We even had to tape over the wall ourselves just to get through the nights. When we raised this with the host, we were told it was "common in the area due to the climate" and that the property had already been fumigated — yet the fumigation clearly hadn't worked, since cockroaches kept appearing throughout our stay. Despite providing photo and video evidence, the host initially refused to offer any refund and only said they will arrange fumigation after we'd already left. We wouldn't recommend this property until the pest issue is properly and permanently resolved.
