  Croatia and Villa Buga — love at first sight! ❤️ This was our very first trip to Croatia, and we can honestly say that we fell in love with this beautiful country from the very first day. We had always travelled to resorts with an all-inclusive system before, so at first we wondered whether we would miss it. But we quickly realized that we didn’t need it at all. The beauty of Croatia, the crystal-clear sea, the incredible nature, and especially the warmth and hospitality we experienced at Villa Buga made this holiday truly unforgettable. A very special and heartfelt THANK YOU goes to the wonderful owner, Davor. ❤️ He welcomed us late in the evening, helped us with our luggage, treated us to delicious homemade food and drinks, and throughout our entire stay he was always there to help, advise and make sure we had everything we needed. Davor treated us several times to his wonderful homemade wine, and even gave us a bottle to take home with us. He also surprised us with delicious freshly fried local fish. These little gestures meant so much to us and made our stay feel incredibly warm and personal. Davor is not just a great host — he is a truly wonderful person. Our 12-year-old daughter said it perfectly: “I wish all apartment owners were like Davor!” ❤️ The apartment itself is absolutely beautiful. Everything has been thoughtfully planned, and you can feel the care and love in every little detail. It truly feels like a place created not just for guests, but from the heart. The nature around Villa Buga is breathtaking, the sea is crystal clear, and the whole atmosphere is simply magical. Villa Buga is our one love! ❤️ We will definitely come back again — and hopefully very soon! Davor, we wish you good health, happiness, prosperity, and only wonderful people in your life.   We booked this apartment for a couple of days because we had severe sunburn and needed a cool place to recover. Unfortunately, the apartment was very hot when we arrived, had an unpleasant smell, and the air conditioner was not working properly. We informed the host immediately. Even after running for 2–3 hours, the temperature was still around 27°C, and the bedroom was even hotter. We asked the host to fix the problem or move us to another room, but neither happened. The first night was extremely uncomfortable. By early morning, the temperature finally dropped to 25°C, even though the air conditioner was set to 20°C. The next evening, after we had left the apartment for a walk, the host called us and complained that we had set the air conditioner temperature too low. When we returned, we discovered that he had entered the apartment without our permission, changed the air conditioner settings, and taken away the remote control. After that, the air conditioner cooled even less effectively. We consider entering the apartment without our consent and removing the remote control to be completely unacceptable. The listing advertised a washing machine, but after using it only twice to wash two separate loads of laundry, the host became angry and told us that guests staying fewer than five days were not allowed to use it more than once. This restriction was never mentioned anywhere in the Booking.com listing. The drying rack on the balcony was already half occupied when we arrived. My wife simply moved two pillowcases aside to make room for our laundry. The host later claimed that the neighbours had complained because we touched their belongings and shouted at us for a long time. The parking access was also much narrower than expected. Vehicles larger than a compact car, such as a Volkswagen Golf, cannot realistically access the parking space. We had to park about 100 metres away one night and around 400 metres away the next.
