    While none of these issues completely ruined our stay, improving these details would make the apartment much more comfor

    It was big apartment.

    There were leftovers of previous guests who rented the apartment (tea, coffee, peanut butter, …). In the bathroom, the plaster was falling from the ceiling, which made the bathroom feel poorly maintained. There was also a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke in the apartment. I understand that this is an apartment building and the flat is on the ground floor, so the smell may have come from neighboring units, but it was still unpleasant.
