Spacious with friendly hosts, but dampness and noise
Spacious, quiet and clean apartment. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout our stay.
The apartment is essentially a semi-basement unit with a low ceiling. Ventilation is poor, and the air quickly becomes stuffy and smells of dampness. Although it appears to have been recently repainted, there seems to be an underlying moisture problem (mould on the walls?). The main issue is the poor soundproofing in the bedroom. You can clearly hear water rushing through the plumbing from the floors above (or the sound of a washing machine spinning behind the wall). On the first night, a sudden gush of water was so loud that I thought something had broken. The bathroom is very cramped. The outdoor space is poorly utilised – the barbecue, table and chairs are stacked and covered, making it uninviting. Despite the photos showing a carport and forecourt, parking is actually on the street, about 50 metres from the apartment. The location is on the outskirts of Gmunden, around a 30-minute walk from the town centre. I expected a more appealing setting, but the adjacent park is quite neglected. Overall, the accommodation fell short of my expectations, mainly due to the dampness, noise and misleading impression regarding parking.

Herrliche Lage, ruhige Umgebung, nahe dem Zentrum, sehr freundliche Gastgeber

Grosses Apartment . Sehr gute Lage. Die Zimmer waren sauber und die Größe ausreichend. In der Küche alles vorhanden was wir an Utensilien gebraucht haben.
Leider war vor kurzem ein Wasserschaden in der Wohnung und deshalb hat es unangenehm gerochen. Wir versuchten es mit Raumspray zu minimieren, aber leider mit nur teilweisen Erfolg. Das Badezimmer hätte grösser sein können. Vorallem die Toilette war auch im Badezimmer und die Kinder mussten auch in der Nacht durch unser Schlafzimmer, wo sich das Bad und Toilette im Anschluss befand.
