  Comfortable, brilliant views and perfect if on and off ferries a lot.

  VIEWS spectacular to wake up to. Location right by the ferry. Great for people watching. One bedroom very large. Supermarket under building. Beds comfortable. Host responsive.

  Large mobile phone tower right outside southern windows and to right of balcony. Mold in washing machine was very bad.Host offered to clean but we did the best we could as needed to use ASAP. No coffee machine only Moka. air con wasn't working - (something about italian regulations for temp and power usage) luckily it was cooling down in evenings else would have been super hot at night. Bar out the front (as others have said), Friday and Sat nights was feral!!! Wear earplugs and close windows and it is ok. We were jeylagged so wasn't too much of an issue. Didn't ruin stay.

  Perfect location and great view.

  Great location and wonderful view from the patio.

  Sports bar below the property was very loud until around 2am.

  We enjoyed our stay very much. Irina was helpful and responsive to all of our questions snd ensured we had an enjoyable

  We liked the location of the apartment, as it is very close to the ferry station and just a quick walk into town. No car or taxi was needed in Menaggio. We loved the proximity to the water with a lovely view from the balcony. You can see Varenna and Bellagio in the distance, right from the balcony, and enjoy gorgeous lake & mountain views.The air conditioning worked well in the bedrooms & sleeping was comfortable temperature-wise. The beds had firm mattresses & were comfortable as well. It’s easy & convenient in Menaggio to rent a boat and see Bellagio & Varenna from the water, in addition to taking the ferry over to explore the other towns. We loved the proximity to the many charming cafes that served cappuccino, fresh croissants & fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast. You can sit & enjoy a lovely view of the water while you have coffee. And it’s only a 7 minute walk from the apartment! Also, there’s a convenient market right in the same building as the apartment, to purchase necessities. (Just be sure to note the hours. They are closed all day Sunday and Monday afternoon. And, for 3 hours midday for lunch). Irina was great about answering questions about the apartment & how things work. The apartment was very clean with plenty of space. We would like to stay there again if we return to Menaggio.

  The only tough part was handling luggage, as there is no elevator. The apartment is on the second floor, but it’s more like 2 1/2 flights of stairs. We were in Europe for nearly 3 weeks and had larger suitcases to haul up the stairs. It would have been great to have someone available to hire for help with the luggage. Otherwise, our stay was wonderful and we would love to return!
