If you expect even basic cleanliness, do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.
On the positive side, I appreciated that the bed linen had been changed and was clean and fresh-smelling. The AC also worked properly. The location was also quite convenient, with shops and restaurants within about a 10-minute walk from the accommodation. So overall, the location itself was not bad at all.
When we arrived at the accommodation, it was immediately obvious that the place had not been vacuumed or mopped for a very long time. There were long black hairs, crumbs, and a huge amount of dirt all over the floor. I couldn’t even vacuum because the handheld vacuum cleaner hadn’t been cleaned either. As soon as I picked it up, dirt started falling out of it. The bottom of the curtains was absolutely filthy, as if someone had been using them to mop the floor. Something must have exploded inside the microwave. I honestly don’t know what happened there. All the dishes had simply been put back into the cupboard while still dirty. The surface of the toilet had been cleaned, but the outside and the bottom of it clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The same could be said about all the cupboards. The ventilation was completely clogged, the shower door was practically falling out of place, the toilet paper holder also came off in my hand, it was already broken. Upon arriving at the accommodation, we contacted the owner and informed him about the situation. We explained in detail what the issue was and what we found when we arrived at the apartment. His response was: “We have good reviews, so I don’t know what you are talking about.” After that message, we kindly explained once again that we understood they had good reviews, and that was actually one of the reasons why we chose this accommodation. Unfortunately, the owner then completely ignored us apparently just as much as he ignores the black mould in the shower. We received no further response and, of course, no compensation whatsoever.
