The apartment was ok and according to the pictures.
I reserved the apartment via Booking for the same day, only 30 minutes before check-in time. I immediately received a receipt for my payment and then another email message from Booking confirming my reservation and stating that the host will be there to give us the key. To my great astonishment, right after that, I got a contradicting notification via Booking, specifying that this reservation requires the approval of the owner, which might be given only within the next 24 hours! (When I made the reservation, there was no mention of a 24 hours wait time for owner's approval, otherwise I wouldn't have booked that place in the first place, only 30 minutes before my anticipated arrival time). I called the contact number of the property. The owner's daughter answered. She claimed that unfortunately, due to a late check-out of previous guests and lack of cleaning personnel at that time, that the apartment is NOT going to be ready for check-in on that day. She apologized and advised me to book another place. I explained that I was already charged and received a confirmation. Since it wasn't possible to cancel for free, she asked me to try to cancel my reservation and promised not to charge the cancellation fee (~80 Euros). I tried several times to request a cancellation with owner's approval, but that failed each time with an error message. After about half an hour I was informed that they managed to get someone to clean the apartment so eventually they were able to check us in. There was no trash can in the bathroom (we put a plastic bag in the bucket for trash), no bath mat and no dish drying rack (we put the washed dishes on the stove top, as can be seen in the attached picturesng, I would suggest to bring everything (including salt, sugar etc.), as there are no basic products whatsoever in the kitchen, there are only utensils, an electric stovetop and a sandwich toaster.
