Hillside apartment with views, caveats
The property is situated on a hill overlooking part of Sarajevo, so you can enjoy a nice view of the city. There is a small convenience store on the ground floor, and the apartment itself is spacious, with street parking available for more than one car.
The main reason for the low rating is that the host did not let us know during check-in that the water would be shut off or advise us to keep some bottled water on hand. They could at least have left a bottle in the fridge. As we arrived late in the evening, we went to a nearby restaurant for dinner and only discovered when we returned that there was no running water. The shop downstairs had already closed, and we were unable to reach the host. The water shortage itself was not the host's fault, of course, and if we had been warned in advance, it would not have been a problem. The host has a rooster and dogs that bark loudly in the backyard, and the noise can be heard inside the apartment. The streets leading to the property are quite narrow and winding, so getting there was a bit of an adventure. This is understandable given the terrain, but something to be aware of if you are uncomfortable driving on narrow, steep roads. Google Maps will take you to the wrong location. Instead, search for "ALLI Grocery Store", which is located in the same building as the property.
