  Posizione comoda ma servizi di connettività assenti e comfort limitati

  La casa si trova vicino alla spiaggia e dispone di un comodo parcheggio interno per un’auto. Poiché i proprietari, che vivono nell’appartamento al piano superiore, non erano presenti, abbiamo potuto usufruire anche di un secondo posto auto e dell’intero giardino, dove abbiamo sempre mangiato. Non avevamo il phon, ma ce ne hanno gentilmente prestato uno. La casa non necessita di ventilatori perché, essendo parzialmente interrata, rimane sempre fresca. Molto utile anche il separé che divide i letti nel salotto/seconda camera da letto. Ogni finestra è dotata di zanzariera.

  All’interno della casa non c’è alcun segnale telefonico (solo in giardino prende), e per noi che lavoravamo mezza giornata questo è stato un problema ancor più rilevante. È correttamente segnalata l’assenza di Wi-Fi (che, vista la situazione, sarebbe quasi indispensabile), ma non viene indicato che il segnale è completamente assente: eravamo in quattro con quattro telefoni diversi e non riuscivamo nemmeno a effettuare semplici chiamate. La casa risulta piuttosto umida, essendo interrata, e anche poco luminosa per lo stesso motivo. La televisione non funzionava e, nonostante la segnalazione, non è stata riparata per tutta la durata del soggiorno. Inoltre, in bagno e nelle stanze si trovavano alcune ragnatele e piccoli ragni, probabilmente dovuti all’umidità. Un altro aspetto negativo è la totale mancanza di privacy: le pareti sono sottili e si sente tutto da e di ogni stanza, compreso il bagno. Lenzula e asciugamani da portare.

  A good value for the money but be aware of the drawbacks.

  The apartment is really close to the beach---it is about 400 meters. The house has a huge garden. And it is a beautiful house! The lady managing the apartment was very hospitable: one needs to pick up the apartment keys at a different location; we came after office hours; she waited for us for almost 1/2 hour. If the upper floors are not rented during your stay then you have the entire house and garden for yourselves (like we had). The car is parked inside the garden with a remote control opening the gate (a somewhat shaky performance but it works). We ate our meals in the shade under a terrace. There is a large supermarket in nearby Donoratico (Conad; 4 kms).

  As stated in the description of the location, there is no air-conditioning or wi-fi connection in the house. Be aware that also cellphone signal reception is poor. The apartment is located in the basement---on the one hand it is less hot than other places, on the other hand it is impossible to air the apartment properly --> there is not a very pleasant odor inside (one gets used to it but still...). The nearest beach is close but it is the over-organized kind with rows and rows of sunbeds and parasols for rent. We prefer quieter places so we drove about 2 kms and then walked for another 800 meters to reach a more secluded beach.
