    Erst bei der Ankunft erfahren: Trotz bestätigter Buchung plötzlich obdachlos in Venedig

    Wir hatten uns zunächst sehr gefreut, diese Unterkunft wieder buchen zu können, da wir bereits vor zwei Jahren dort übernachtet hatten. Umso enttäuschender war es, bei unserer Ankunft zu erfahren, dass unsere über Booking.com bestätigte und bereits bezahlte Buchung angeblich nicht vorlag. Unter der angegebenen Telefonnummer war zunächst niemand erreichbar. Später wurden wir von einer anderen Nummer zurückgerufen. Die Mitarbeiterin sprach kaum Englisch und war nicht bereit, uns bei der Klärung zu helfen. Obwohl wir ihr einen Screenshot unserer Buchungsbestätigung schickten, erhielten wir lediglich die knappe Antwort, wir sollten Booking.com kontaktieren – es sei deren Problem. So standen wir in Venedig plötzlich ohne Unterkunft da und mussten kurzfristig eine teurere Ersatzwohnung buchen. Booking.com versprach uns telefonisch, die Mehrkosten von bis zu 60 € zu übernehmen. Erst nach Abschluss der Buchung wurde daraus plötzlich ein Gutschein für eine zukünftige Reise. In der hastig gebuchten Ersatzunterkunft kam es dann zusätzlich zu einer Verletzung durch eine herabfallende Möbelfront, was niemanden interessiert hat. Es gab weder eine Entscheidung noch sonst irgendwelche netten Worte. Der gesamte Ärger begann damit, dass unsere bestätigte Buchung bei dieser Unterkunft offenbar nicht korrekt erfasst wurde und sich vor Ort niemand verantwortlich fühlte oder uns bei der Lösung unterstützte. Für uns war das eine äußerst enttäuschende und belastende Erfahrung.
