  La casa è molto carina, c'è tutto, il proprietario è disponibile, vicino al centro. Ci è piaciuto tutto, anche Catania. Grazie mille

  Could be great with proper care

  The design of the flat. Don't get me wrong: this is a small, dark hole. But this is clearly visible on the photos, so it's what you expect. But the layout and facilities of that place do a ton to mitigate this situation: window on the gallery for ventilation, AC with de-moisturising mode, an extra window above the door for cross-ventilation, well set mosquito nets on the windows, so you can keep them open at night etc. The location: very close to the main historical sights, which is great. The communication with the host was also good.

  The flat (especially the kitchen) wasn't clean enough, and lacked proper maintenance: some of the cups and plates were dirty and the pots were greasy; there is an oven, but nothing to cook in it with; the toilet seat is coming off and the lid is broken; one of the pillowcases was blood-stained; the main chandelier’s bulb was dead, and though we discussed it with the host, they didn't offer to replace it during our stay (what would have been appreciated) — and the list isn't even exhaustive Adding a microwave to the kitchen would also be great. The location: the neighbourhood is extremely dirty and noisy, and better parts of the city are not too far either, so probably would stay further away from old town, next time. (Though, this is clearly not the flat's fault :)
