  A spacious, well-equipped and cheerful modern apartment: recommended

  The Appartamento Valkiria in Nuoro suited us perfectly. It is spacious, attractive, very well equipped and cheerful. Important too is that it is remarkably quiet even though it is in the center of Nuoro. The Wi-Fi Internet access worked very well as did the washing machine and everything else. There was also plenty of place for clothes, books, toilet articles and so on. The modern bathroom is very comfortable. Appartamento Valkiria is within walking distance of Nuoro's main "sights", including the delightful "MAN" art museum, the fascinating (but badly misnamed) "Museo del Costume" or ethnographic museum and the Parco di Colle Sant'Onofrio. It is also close to good restaurants and to lively cafés. Checking in and checking out were straightforward, and, in addition, Luca, the owner, kindly helped us with our suitcases.

  The large, mostly empty, underground parking facility very near the apartment is expensive and closes at night, but it is, nevertheless, convenient for checking-in. Finding a cost-free place to park in Nuoro can seem challenging, but there are many small areas where parking is not restricted. Patience, determination and alertness are helpful. The apartment is on the second floor. There is no lift, but the stairway is well-made and generous; it benefits from broad steps and solid banisters.

  Perfect place in Nuoro

  The staff was very helpful! They even brought in a washing machine before the start of our stay. This was really nice. They helped us with restaurants and places to visit.
