beach time apartment!
communication went pretty well. I could even leave my backpack in the apartment before check-in. And the host then even took me along to oldtown as he was passing through anyway. Some of the surrounding area of the apartment is in a rather derelict state. Seems like a construction project that never fully succeeded/finished. Empty pools, halfway finished apartment blocks. In contrary to that there‘s the historic palace of the first president of tunisia right opposite the building (you got the view of it from the apartment) & other finished apartment buildings and some villas. The beach nearby was just a few minutes walk away and was enjoyable. the appartment was clean and well equipped. exchange of keys at check-in as well at check-out was super easy. to monastir old town it was a short taxi ride, to the airport, too.
