First day it was the Thai "all you can eat" buffet and for the birthday my daughter made cheesecake.
Initially booked and for some reason booking was withdrawn so this was not our first choice and we could only find two bed accommodation in Darlington, but surprisingly quiet given proximity of the railway. Anyone with children would have found the communal garden useful. We travelled for a 21st Birthday and in the circumstances the flat worked well as a base from which to celebrate. First night we took him for a meal in Darlington and on the Sunday (Birthday) he had his favourite "cheese"cake with sparklers and candles.
The grouting around the bath looked a bit mouldy and the flat was also up three flights of stairs which was not so convenient especially when unloading the car. The kitchen area would have benefited from a bit of "TLC". Otherwise, it was not clear as to what needed to happen with the rubbish, especially the recycling.

Allocated parking, comfortable bed.
The description given in bookings.com advert was misleading. My husband and I would never have booked this property had we known it was on the third floor with four flights of stairs and no lift. The advert said it was first floor, which we thought would be just about manageable. The property is too far from town to walk and there are no local pubs or restaurants, though there is an Asda nearby and a couple of takeaways. The biggest complaint is the seating arrangement. There was one small three seater settee only and this had blown with all springs digging out of the upholstery and so uncomfortable. The three dining chairs were no better as they were sagging downwards and springs clearly broken. This meant that there was nowhere to sit after a long day out enjoying the area. This is unacceptable. There was mould around the bath near the taps, there was no plug for the bathroom sink, the towels were grey with age and the bath mat was only fit for the bin. If a little money was invested in this property it would be a good place to stay for two or three people, but at present I would advise you to look elsewhere.
