    Incredibly beautiful property. Appears to be recently renovated as everything was updated and gorgeous. The staff were very kind and helpful. Recommendation was made for a restaurant: Roam West, which is just up the road. Don’t look anywhere else for dinner. I had the best steamed mussels of anywhere I’ve eaten and my wife had an incredible fish and chips. This house is wonderful, just a short drive from Fort Mason

    Nydelig hus ved vannet

    Koselig gammelt hus nede ved vannet. Rommene er nyoppusset og fine, noen med kreative løsninger for badet. Det finnes ikke noe mat å kjøpe på hotellet så man må ta med eller ha spist på forhånd. Frokosten var helt super og personalet vennlig og behjelpelig. Vi bodde der en natt og det var helt supert

    This is nothing more than a disgusting hotel. We didn’t even bother to stay it was so bad. I can’t believe Expedia have this even listed. One of our rooms was outside in which we had to access in the pouring rain.

    The location is absolutely stunning, the welcome is warm and the house cat is gorgeous - and Queen of this particular castle. The hotel is beautiful but also quirky. Our room, the Emperor room was nicely decorated in dark green with a big antique cupboard. There’s a lovely view, only very slightly obscured by the conservatory. It has tea and coffee making facilities. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It’s worth noting: our room was not en-suite. The bathroom which is clean and tidy - but has an off putting dark brown/black bathroom suite - was opposite the bedroom. The separate bathroom ok but … the bathroom for a neighbouring room also seemed to be opposite our bedroom door. It’s an old house so the original floorboards and doors make a lot of noise. It did disturb our sleep. We would stay here again, but not bank on getting too much sleep! Breakfast service starts at 0830, so we missed it as we had to leave at 0800. The coastal walk is wonderful.
