A perfect small apartment for a Corfu stay
The place looks exactly like the pics, and is a very convenient alternative to staying in a hotel - in an area of the city where locals actually live, which I always find a better way to travel. There is a small kitchen, with the necessities, and a small washing machine in the bathroom - though no clothes dryer, you hang your clothes outside and they smell wonderful from the fresh air. There are three sets of French doors, leading out to a narrow balcony, and all have metal shutters that block out the sun and noise. There is air conditioning in the bedroom and living room. The host let me stay longer than the standard checkout time as I had a later flight, which was very kind. The apartment is just 5 minutes walk to the major shopping street, and another 5 minutes into the old town area. The old fortress is just another couple minutes walk from there - LOTS of shops, restaurants, and bars. The port is a pleasant half hour walk (if you are doing one of the boat cruises to Paxos island you will be leaving from there), or a much shorter bus or taxi ride. Speaking of buses, the apartment is just a 2-4 minute walk to most of the routes you would likely be taking. It is also very close to the airport - a bus will take you from the airport to a stop just a 4-minute walk away for 1,30 euros, though if you don't know the area or have a lot of luggage, a taxi will run you 20 euros, a flat rate even though it is just a 6 or 7 minute drive away. There is a small store just across the street that sells bottled water, fruits and vegetables, as well as some things you could cook for dinner - but with all the restaurants nearby, who wants to cook?
Not much - the WiFi was occasionally slow. Do note that you do need to climb a set of stairs to get to the apartment. The place is also directly next to an elementary school playground - the kids WILL be out there yelling and screaming and doing the things that kids are supposed to do, and it will be every weekday during school hours. The metal shutters blocked out much of that noise for the bedroom, and a white noise app on my phone blocked out even more. If you are a very light sleeper, or don't particularly like kids, this might not be the place for you, but it won't be an issue for most people.

Areti's Home! was wonderful. The home was clean, comfortable, updated, close to cafes, restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, a fruit shop across the road from us, and only a short walk to the old town. The home is quiet because it's at the back of the apartment complex, and the balcony wraps around the home so you have several options to sit and enjoy coffee outside.
Everything went well.

Lovely clean and comfortable. Areti is a great communicator.
Unfortunately, the location for Google took us to the back of the house, and it took over 30m in the dark to find # 22. There are 2 x 24, so looked in wrong place,, and the first 22 you see is not the place. Keep walking down the path and opposite the 'wall' is a 22 which says an attorney is there. Apparently there were photos to help but they didn't come through on my phone. So good to get in the flat at last. Slept well.
