Encountered many problems with our apartment and especially with a faulty front door

The location was good and the beds were comfortable.

We were informed the day before our arrival that one of the toilets in the unit was broken and needed to be repaired. Despite having around 24 hours to address the issue, it was not fixed before we arrived. In fact, it wasn't repaired until our fourth and final day. This was a significant inconvenience for our group, as we had to share one very small bathroom for almost the entire stay. The second problem was that the internet did not work. When we contacted the host for help, we were asked to send a screenshot of the problem, which we did. However, we never received any further response, and the issue was not resolved during our stay. The biggest problem, however, was the lock on the main entrance to the building. There is a small black button on the inside of the lock that can apparently disable access from the outside. If someone presses this button from inside the building, the key no longer works from the outside. This became a serious problem when our group returned very late one evening and discovered that our key would not open the entrance door, presumably because someone had pressed the button from inside. We were therefore stuck outside the building in the middle of the night with no way to get in unless someone inside happened to let us in. After trying to open the door for about an hour, we eventually gave up and called a nearby hotel to see if we could stay there for the night. Just as we were about to leave, a lady inside the building, who had apparently been woken up by us trying to get in, thankfully came downstairs and let us in. It was a very uncomfortable and stressful situation for us, and of course also unfair to the poor lady who was woken up in the middle of the night. A main entrance lock that can leave paying guests locked outside the building is a serious issue and should be fixed.

    La ubicación excelente

The location is good, but that’s about the only positive. There’s no clothes drying rack — it was completely missing — and the toilet was broken and didn’t work. The worst part was that I saw photos from a previous tenant showing the bed frames/slats were broken, so I spent 3-4 days messaging the owners asking them to confirm with photos that everything was fine. To my surprise, it was still broken when we arrived. Edinburgh itself, though, is beautiful.

Really nice flat, would stay again!

It was ideally located & easy to get to everything we wanted to!

The wi-fi wasn’t working for a time, and even when it did work, it wasn’t very good. The TV was therefore useless as you couldn’t stream anything. The macerator toilet in the main bathroom took a bit of getting used to!

Great location, very clean, very private!

The house is very charming. It’s a great set up for 3 to 4 people. It’s also conveniently located to many restaurants and attractions.

We found the one shower/bathtub difficult to use. There is very little pressure in the showerhead and you get cold quickly trying to stand under it to use it. There was no plug for the tub, so there was no way for us to soak our tired leg/feet/take a bath. The mattresses are comfortable enough, but they are thin.
