    This is a nice place to stay in Konitsa, conveniently located close to the main road, the famous stone bridge, and the starting point of the beautiful hiking trail to Stomio Monastery. Stavros is an excellent host – he speaks good English and is always ready to help with practical information and useful advice. He even arranged a transfer from Vikos to Monodendri for us, making it possible for us to do the long hike through the amazing Vikos Gorge. Konitsa itself is a charming, authentic town that keeps the legacy of St. Paisios alive. We happily spent a couple of days there and would be delighted to come back someday.

    It takes about 20–30 minutes to walk uphill to the town centre, which can be quite exhausting on a hot summer day. However, it is also possible to get there by car and use the free public parking.
