False Listing and Unethical Business - No Working Shower, Tub, or Fridge- Prevents Sleep
The view of the mountains was nice and trip started out well before we discovered that the advertised bathtub and shower were completely unusable, the owner did nothing to fix the issue in response, and multiple aspects of the room started to malfunction, which ended up preventing sleep for hours the final night.
Neither the tub or the shower could be used. The water was brown and made the tub very dirty because it also would not drain. It was disgusting. This was not okay. Especially not for a 3-night stay. The owner said he would send someone to fix it and did not. He did not follow up when I let him know it was not fixed. He could have switched our rooms but did not. He should also at minimum have partially refunded us, as a bathtub and shower are listed and the ability to shower in the room is a basic need. Instead, I was charged the full (over $500) price. I was told this would be addressed within 24 hours and only received an auto text to rate them with an offer to enter a drawing for money. (Think about where those good reviews come from). Adding to this, the final night, past 9pm, it sounded like there was loud construction in the hallway. Upon getting closer to the door, I realized it was fridge making the extremely loud noise, sounding like the motor was malfunctioning and a gear may fly out. I was told it was "too late" for anything to be done about the extremely loud noise that would prevent us from sleep. It was suggested to simply "turn off the fridge." There was no off switch. Then, I was told to move (!) and unplug it. So, I had to move the (very) heavy fridge by myself as a woman alone with my kids to unplug it past 9pm and had to throw our food away in the morning. Not being able to sleep on top of these issues was the absolute worst. At 5am, I discovered why there was a box fan in the room despite the listed AC. It is because the AC unit makes an extremely loud noise at random that disrupts and prevents sleep. I travel regularly and seldom leave bad reviews, but this was by far the worst experience. It was not acceptable.

Awesome time, highly recommend!
Very safe and comfortable. Close to everything. Great overall!
Would be nice if there was a coffee or apres bar in the lodge but not a big deal. Stuff was very close by.

Snowshoe GNCC 2024
The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and had the room had plenty of space. The balcony was nice to sit and people watch.
We had a hard time getting into the room. The instructions for the keypad weren’t accurate and there wasn’t enough phone service to call the owner. Overall was a nice place to stay but very expensive.
