    Fantastic riad in the heart of the medina

    The location is in the heart of the medina, with plenty of excellent cafes and restaurants nearby and within walking distance of Jemaa el-Fna square and other places of interest. The staff members were amazing - very friendly and helpful with everything. No request was too hard. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was an absolute treat.

    Fantastic place to stay in the heart of the medina with exceptionally thoughtful hosts

    Never in all of the places I have stayed have stayed around the world have hoteliers gone out of the way to be as kind and thoughtful as Marouane and Said at the Astra Damus riad. When we arrived (group of 4 women) we said the birthday girl should have the large bed in our second room and Marouane picked up on that and decided to add to her birthday celebrations. On the final night of our stay they made a special celebration with tailored music, delicious cake and a fun game - it made our holiday! The breakfasts were delicious with a variety of local pancakes and egg based mains and served on the rooftop. The accomodation itself is tucked away near the heart of the medina and feels like an authentic place to stay. We felt safe in the area. I would ask for someone from the hotel to meet your taxi/transport as you cannot drive to the area. The rooms are beautifully decorated, all different;, the bed is firm but very comfortable and the shower room is powerful and temperature adjusted well. Although there are several rooms around each level, I didn't hear any noise from our neighboring rooms or outside. The room air conditioning works well. Pretty entrance-way and area to chill in the downstairs as well as on the rooftop. Thank you team Astra Damus!

    A wonderful experience

    We travelled as a group of 3 ladies, the location was central, the staff exceptional. A beautiful Riad with everything we could have wished for.
