    We will NOT return.

Its location was a plus, as it was relatively close to the Vatican and the metro. We were allowed to check out a little later than 10 AM.

The biggest issue by far was the cleanliness and maintenance of the apartment. I actually think this is a real shame, as the apartment itself is lovely and spacious. For us, the problems started as soon as we reached the elevator, when we discovered that it was less than one metre wide and approximately one metre deep. As a family with three small children and a double stroller, we had to get very creative and make several trips just to get ourselves and our belongings up and down. Once inside the apartment, it quickly became apparent that there were serious issues with cleanliness, particularly when it came to the beds, kitchen and floors. The floors are so dirty that you cannot walk on them without shoes or slippers. If you have crawling babies or young children who like to move around and play on the floor, I would strongly advise you to stay away. The floors are extremely dirty. When I raised this issue with the person responsible for handing over the apartment, the response was essentially: “You’re not the only one who has complained about this, and there’s nothing we can do about it. Stop discussing it.” The beds in the bedroom shed so much material that one morning we had to brush off the mattress and, at times, even the children themselves because they had tiny black flakes of faux leather on them. There is also a sofa in the bedroom that, in my opinion, should have been thrown away a long time ago. It is in a truly neglected condition. The kitchen extractor hood was another problem, as it was extremely greasy and oily. Because of this, we chose not to use the kitchen at all during our entire stay. Then there is the bathroom. Our problems started with the water temperature, which was impossible to regulate properly. The water was either ice-cold or scalding hot. If someone was showering while another person used the sink, the water temperature went haywire, constantly switching between hot and cold.
