Atico deluxe-everything but deluxe
The location is great and the host let us check in early
I honestly don’t know where to start… We are 8 female friends, who travel together two times a year. When we arrived, we had to set up the two sofa beds ourselves. The host explained that previous guests weren’t happy to find them already open because they took up too much space. Fair enough, I can understand that. However, one sofa had sheets and the other didn’t. We eventually found the bedding and towels following the host’s instructions, but unfortunately, they were old, smelled unpleasant, and some were stained. We also found hair on two of the beds. I contacted the host, and she explained that the rainy weather might have been the reason for the smell. I asked her to bring clean bedding, otherwise we would have to buy some ourselves and submit the receipts. She eventually brought two pairs of brand-new, unwashed pillowcases and some used sheets, which were slightly better than the original ones. She didn’t even offer to change the bedding, so we had to do everything ourselves. Another serious issue was one of the bathrooms. The shower drain was badly blocked, causing water to overflow into the living room. There was also a nasty smell coming from the drain, and we couldn’t use that shower at all. I find it hard to believe that nobody noticed this before our arrival. Surely, if the bathroom had been properly cleaned, the blockage would have been obvious. I informed the host about this as well. And then there’s the complete lack of privacy in the bathrooms! The blinds are see-through, meaning anyone in the adjoining room can see you sitting on the toilet or taking a shower. Not to mention the neighbours, who also get a lovely view! Both bathroom doors are sliding doors, but they sit about 2 cm away from the wall, leaving a visible gap. This makes using the bathroom extremely uncomfortable, especially when sharing the property with other people. I can’t imagine two couples staying here and having absolutely no privacy when using the toilet.
