Lovely location, but a few areas need attention 😀 The positives The bungalow is comfortable, with lovely beds and sofas, and is perfectly situated close to the golf course, beach and town centre. The location really couldn’t be faulted and is a real highlight of the property.
😔 Areas for improvement Although the house was generally clean, parts of the property would benefit from some updating and attention to detail. There is mould around the bath seal and bath panel, and the bathroom tiles could do with regrouting. A blind on the bathroom window would also be a welcome addition, as despite the frosted glass, the window becomes see-through when the light is on, leaving the room overlooked by neighbouring properties. Some of the kitchen items could also be improved, with chipped cereal bowls and a temperamental toaster. We also felt that one tea towel and one hand towel between four guests was insufficient. As previously mentioned, there is a noticeable damp smell in one of the kitchen cupboards and in the twin bedroom. There are also broken light bulbs in a couple of rooms that still need replacing. Overall We enjoyed the bungalow’s comfortable furnishings and fantastic location, but a few relatively minor maintenance issues let it down. Most of these are straightforward and inexpensive fixes that would make a real difference to guests’ experience. With a little attention and some simple improvements, this could be a lovely place to stay, especially given its excellent location.

This was a great place to stay during our SW Coast path walk. Great communication from Rob re dropping off and collecting our bags. We had everything we could possibly want from a stay in Bude.

Nice enough but house needs more care
The house in itself is a nice enough property with comfortable beds and sofas and is decently located near the town.
Just felt the place and the facilities need more attention. Bathroom - door lock broken. Handle on shower broken so couldn’t adjust height - something my dad needed. Two toilet rolls for a family for a week? Kitchen - under equipped and cupboards smelled damp. Simple things like a plate drying rack would have been useful and things you’d expect in a usable kitchen. No washing up liquid (or any cleaning products whatsoever) so had to make a trip out especially to get some. Bedrooms - fine but a few spotlights needed changing. Lounge - tv remote held together with (sharp) wire. Really? No major problems overall but just think some attention to detail is needed as it all mounts up to a less than perfect stay.
