lovely city, lots of tourist things to do, cathedrals, museums, waterfront, lovely food, clean tidy

location was great, nice view, comfy huge bed clean sheets, enough coathangers, but a few more would be good, coffee machine - not used, hot chocolate capsules would be good. spacious room , steam free mirror, iron and board in wardrobe.

shower walls were mouldy, chipped bath, filthy black mouldy sink overflow, shower screen black mouldy, Had to request a hairdryer twice, no phone in room to ring reception, receptionists could not find our booking on arrival, asked for city tax when checking out but had paid it on arrival. no spare towels in cupboard as mentioned in bathroom, ridge on carpet and suspicious stain on carpet. no interaction of staff when you passed them going in or out of hotel. Got the impression our room was made available at checking in as we had to wait 15 -20 mins for the senior receptionist to go into a back office before coming back to say our room was ready. Did not use restaurant so cannot comment on food or service.

    Great location

Disappointing facilities for a hotel of this standard. We booked a double room for two guests, but only one dental kit was provided. When I requested an additional kit at reception, I was given a toothbrush without any protective packaging, which raised hygiene concerns. No slippers were provided, so we had to walk barefoot in the bathroom. Complimentary bottled water was also not available. The mattress springs were uncomfortable and could be felt through, causing back pain and making it difficult to get a comfortable night’s sleep. A decent mattress should be a basic expectation at any hotel, particularly one of this standard.
