We have stayed at the Yakinthos at least 6 times over the last 20 years. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to a lovely sandy beach and numerous restaurants. Lovely pool area. There is a bus stop nearby No 21 frequent bus service to Chania town. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is showing some signs of age but this is reflected in the price and the location makes up for it. The rooms facing the road can be noisy from the traffic so I would recommend booking a pool or garden view room.

Christos was very friendly and accommodating for us throughout our stay. He called taxis for us, gave us recommendations for places to eat in Old Town and gave us extra towels. The main chef cooked well and we loved the free breakfast. He was attentive whenever any of the food or drinks were low. Pool and beach access were the best part. Pool is right there and had many shaded spots. Walking to the beach takes less than 2 minutes. Whether you’re walking to a restaurant on the beach or on the street, it is quick and safe. Be sure to check out Sophia’s art shop. We loved the original art pieces there!

We only stayed one night here. Wish we had booked more to explore surrounding area more. We will definitely be heading back to Crete, and we would definitely consider staying here for a longer stay.
