Very nice and heart warming hotel in the heart of Harbin
Overall all nice! It’s located at the end of CENTRAL STREET in Harbin! Around the hotel, you can find many different mini shops to buy convenience items there from food to beverages to fruits! It’s literally 150 metres from the Central Street! Hotel offers breakfast too which is very nice! Although the kitchen area is small, I actually enjoyed eating there because I always come to the breakfast area around 9:30AM—10AM when they are about to close)) that way normally there’s not a lot of people there! Then the gym is right behind the breakfast bar then laundry room is right by the gym! Hotel staff young men & women always says NIHAO to me when I come down to the lobby/front desk! This is very nice of them to do that)) I wish I could’ve asked them more about some other excursion sites or hidden places where I could’ve gone to! Oh well, next time when I stay here I’ll talk with them more!
There’s only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers…it can be preoccupied if you’re not careful! Also my room 707, the toilet stank a bit and also some other uncivilized guest smoked in their rooms!! This caused the toilet to not only stink but also had cigarette smell! That’s terrible!

It is in a good location being only 100 metres or so from Zhaolin Park which is where the ‘junior’ division for ice sculptures is on show. Entry here is free unlike at Ice and Snow World. Another plus is the that for the first time in our travels, the breakfast room is actually warm. The staff are obliging and helpful, particularly in the dining area. The rooms are a decent size but a little smaller than others we have stayed in. A good variety of breakfast options.
Despite this being a non-smoking hotel, the smell of cigarettes is everywhere. Getting out of the elevator on our floor, it stank and the smell drifted into the room when entering. The breakfast room is far too small for a hotel of this size. It has 10 floors and who knows how many rooms, but the breakfast area barely sits 24 people. Many a time people would walk in, see the crowd, and walk away. There is also the issue of cutlery. Why have spreadable items like butter and jam and then have nothing to spread them with? We had to make do with the handle of a tiny fork used for selecting food items because after asking, we found out they just don’t have knives and/or forks. Ever tried spreading butter with a chopstick? All the cups and ‘glasses’ are paper; even in the rooms. We are paying double what we have paid elsewhere, we know the ice festival is on, but the only crockery are the plates. We have stayed with Atour before and except for the helpful staff, this place is not as good.
