Lovely ryokan with great views over the lake. The dinner and breakfast were exceptional. The onsen experience is fabulous too

We could smell cigarette smoke in our room. I think there were people in the rooms above smoking and they were also quite noisy. It did impact on our enjoyment of an otherwise beautiful stay

    Amazing

Amazing experience. The staff service is next-level. The dinner is a MUST, everything was so delicious. Breakfast was also great. The location is great, highly recommend checking out the village and seeing the Jigoku/hells. The room was amazing. Tatami room with Zataku and Zaisu for relaxing. While dinner is being served the staff prepares your futon. There is a twin bed if you are unable to sleep on the futon. The room was large, clean, and had an elevated feel. The facilities are wonderful, the public bath is very relaxing. The gift shop is worth checking out for souvenirs and omiyage. Be sure to have cash for the gift shop. There is an ATM in the post office at the other end of town. If you are taking the bus after checkout, the staff will drive you to the bus station. Very helpful since it is uphill.

My shower had slightly weird pressure issues but still usable.

Everything about the view, onsen, food, staff was perfect

Futons were installed around 7pm by staff - I wish they installed it before.
