Extremely disappointing!
Location was the only positive for this property
Falsely advertised as a four bedroom property only to arrive to find 3 bedrooms. Cooktop didn’t work, not enough utensils for the number of adults, property wasn’t clean with rubbish in bedrooms from previous guest. They did not once answer our calls or respond to voicemail messages during a 3 night booking. Zero customer service!!

HORRIFIC!!!!!
I have used Booking.com for very many years and have never, ever had such a shockingly bad experience. I booked for 12 people at Azur Byron Bay (two full houses, 7 bedrooms in total) to have all our overseas family staying comfortably with us for the weekend of my daughter’s wedding (4-6 Sep). It was supposed to be a dream weekend of celebrations with family that we have not seen for a long time, but it ended up being an absolute NIGHTMARE. Upon arrival, the fourth bedroom in the main house was clearly being lived in with bed unmade, clothes everywhere. I immediately contacted the property manager which informed me that, since the time we booked, the configuration of the property has changed. The cleaner was on site and argued that the room was not included in our booking, but after a telephone conversation with the manager proceeded to vacate and clean the room. Shortly after placing our belongings in the room, a man that we have not seen before very aggressively instructed my elderly mother-in-law (72) that she should ‘better move her stuff because he is locking the room in half an hour’. When we tried to reason with him, he continued to horrifically abuse her verbally and physically threaten her to the point that two men in our group had to step in and restrain him. He threatened multiple times to ‘put them in hospital’. We believe that the man was the cleaner’s partner. Their son occupied the disputed room. Throughout this, the cleaner tried to calm the man down. We have never experienced anything like this and we were all shaken, upset and most of us in tears. It has really impacted the group and it placed a dark shadow over the wedding activities (this altercation occurred immediately prior to a ‘get to know the family’ event that we hosted). For the rest of the stay we were extremely concerned about the safety of my mother-in-law that was using the room. We did not know if the cleaner’s partner could access the room with her keys.
