Unfortunately, our stay was unpleasant due to bed bugs

The location was excellent, very easy to walk to the Vatican and accessible via public transportation.

Unfortunately, both my friends’ and my room contained bed bugs. In my ground floor room, I found 6 adult bed bugs, 1 juvenile bed bug, and received ~100 individual bed bug bites on my arms, legs, torso, and face. My friends stayed on the second floor and saw 1 adult bed bug, 1 bed bug shed skin, and received ~4 bed bug bites. When we discussed this issue with the B&B host, he was initially superficially understanding but later was unwilling to compensate us fully for the bed bug infestation during our stay. He gave us a partial refund after we discussed our concerns with him in depth. Overall, a very unpleasant experience. Normally, I would not leave a negative review, but would like to have other travelers avoid the ordeal we went through, especially as the number of bugs I observed indicate that this infestation may be longstanding.
