Thank you, Patrizia, for a wonderful stay and for old-world charm in Napoli

LOCATION: A 7-min walk/€7-10 taxi from the main train station, Napoli Centrale. For those planning to take the train to Pompeii or to the Amalfi Coast from Naples, B&B Del Corso is perfectly located for catching the train from the station to those destinations. And the Metro at Napoli Centrale makes all of Naples easily accessible from the hotel. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of the Duomo and the historic centre of the city. We even walked back to the hotel from the Bay of Naples one evening, along the main historic artery Corso Umberto I. It did not take too long, and because the entire walk was along busy main roads & not little side streets, it felt safe. That said, remain mindful. HOSPITALITY: By far the greatest strength of B&B Del Corso is Patrizia's exceptional hospitality. She lives on-site, and so is there to receive visitors personally, and to deal with their queries. At the time of check-in, she also provides guests with local/insider information on tourist highlights, restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. BREAKFAST: A very good breakfast, with Patrizia taking special care at the time of your check-in to record your dietary requirements on a form to ensure they are met. Gluten-free and lactose-free options are served, provided you let her know at the time of check-in. Patrizia is there every morning serving the breakfast, with old-world Italian warmth and hospitality. FACILITIES: Our room was spacious and comfortable, the air conditioner worked well, and there was a fridge, a kettle, and a safe. The bathroom was even more spacious, with plenty of room for wash bags, etc., and an especially generously sized shower stall. However, a few bits were not quite right: the light over the shower stall had come off the ceiling, and was hanging, creating a small opening in the ceiling; and the kettle in the room had a temperamental lid that sometimes closed and sometimes didn't.

The entrance to the building does not announce itself and the area (like many parts of Naples) has a raw feel to it, so remain mindful when out on the streets, and especially in the evenings. NOTE: As with other big cities, keep an eye on your belongings when out and about in the city itself, including when on public transport. Two men distracted us as we were boarding our train at Napoli Centrale, only for one of us to find out later we had been pickpocketed. It may be best to use the safe provided by B&B Del Corso in your room, to store all valuables safely, and carry the bare minimum on your person when you go out each day.

    Great Host and comfortable stay

The host was very friendly and helpful, making check-in quick and easy. She gave us great tips for visiting Naples and were always available to help. The apartment is about an 8-minute walk from the train station, making it very convenient to travel by train. It was large, very clean, and well soundproofed, so we couldn't hear any noise from outside. We had a great stay.

    Nothing to conplain.
