  Happy Holiday

  All unsere Wünsche wurden gerne durch das sehr freundliche Personal erfüllt. Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder.

  Jako sam zadovoljna boravkom u Backoj Idili. Smestaj je miran i veoma uredan. Vrlo rado bismo ponovili dolazak u Backu Idilu!

  From the Best Vacation Ever to a Completely Ruined Holiday

  Last year, I stayed at these apartments while they were still run by the previous owner, and the experience was absolutely fantastic — honestly, one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, everything changed when the new owners took over.

  The new owners were fully aware that the only reason I was coming back was for the absolute peace and almost complete silence I had enjoyed there before. But then came the changes. The apartments had been partially renovated, and the first truly unbelievable change was this: the bathroom and kitchen windows now open directly into the adjoining shop. Yes — literally into the shop. I know that sounds difficult to imagine, because it is hard to believe anyone would design something like that, but that is exactly how it is now. As a result, while you are inside the apartment, you can constantly hear customers and staff talking in the shop. But what happened next was even worse. We had specifically agreed that I would pay for both apartments, even though I had absolutely no need for the second one, simply to make sure that no noisy group would stay next door and disturb the peace and quiet I had come there for. And then, next morning, construction workers showed up with hammers and started doing renovation work — in the exact part of the shop that those kitchen and bathroom windows now open into. Considering that the owners knew perfectly well why I was there, and that I was even paying for an apartment I didn’t need solely to guarantee some peace and quiet, I found this level of disregard absolutely unbelievable. So the next morning, my wife and I packed our things and headed back home — another 160 km drive. By that point, I had completely lost any desire to continue the holiday or even try to enjoy the rest of it. The whole experience had simply ruined our vacation.
