  Hotel has great potential with great location but needs better care of details and services

  Location is great, right on the ocean with waves crashing nearby. The room is very large. Breakfast was good, although coffee was not included in the free breakfast. Personnel were friendly but not extremely helpful. They did accommodate an error date in my reservation, that was appreciated, but at the original nightly rate for the ocean front preferred hotel, and moved me to another inferior location and room than was small with construction noise on the premises

  The hotel nightly rate was high considering no soap or shampoo in the shower containers, no hot water in the shower or sink, the WiFi didn't work and waited many hours for a replacement, that did not work well either. The bathroom toilet had big red ocean crabs crawling out of the flush pipe hole into the toilet bowl. Flushing did not get rid of the crabs. The balcony outside door did not close as the top corner did not fit inside the door jam.

  We cant bring food., or any but renters should have an option to bring snacks or food

  The place is ok to me but , the place needed to fix the Master Bed rooms , the AC in the second floor is terribke does not woek ams its noisy .the doors in the Master Room needed locks . Needed hangers in each rooms . The First floor is good .

  It’s hot the roof is too open and no hangers . Pool is nice

  “Luxury” is just the view, nothing else.

  I stayed at Balay Pacifico because they market themselves as a luxury villa. The only luxurious thing was the view. The accommodation itself was awful. Everything felt old and poorly maintained, like no one has done proper upkeep in years. For the price they charge, it was a complete ripoff. 🤮🤮🤮 The worst part is the safety. There was no medical kit, no first aid kit, no rescue equipment, and no trained staff on site. My father had a medical emergency during our stay. The owner called, but no help arrived. I was the one who had to call the ambulance myself. Then they asked if we had a car so we could take him to the hospital. They didn’t offer their own vehicle, didn’t arrange transport, didn’t do anything. What if a guest doesn’t have a car? Are you just supposed to die waiting? My dad was dead on arrival at the hospital. 💔 Afterwards, no condolences came from the owner. A woman who said she was the owner’s mother-in-law went with my mother to the hospital and promised help with funeral expenses. That help never came. I’ve messaged and called the resort multiple times since. No replies. No accountability. If you are considering Balay Pacifico, think twice. If you have any health issues, get yourself checked before you go, because if something happens to you here, no help will come. They sell a view and call it luxury, but when it matters most, they provide nothing. Don’t risk your life for an instagram photo. 🤮
