    Great island resort if you’re not arriving late!

    Nice two bedroom villa, great spa facilities, and some of the best kid’s club hosts we’ve come across. Great splash pool for younger kids.

    What didn’t go well for us was the check in. We arrived at 11.20pm with 3 little kids and had to wait until 1.15am to be picked up by the island fairy. This isn’t a 5 star ‘concierge’ resort experience. By the time kids were settled it was 3am.

    Why go all the way to the Maldives when you can enjoy a beautiful getaway right here in Qatar? It was our first time at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara, and we had a blast! The room was incredibly spacious, and the bathroom was huge! The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of options. The staff were polite, friendly, and always helpful. We also loved the free-flowing cold water available by the pool and beach. The food was delicious, especially at Ted’s and Q Lounge. Next time, we’re looking forward to trying Al Nahham. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. If you’re thinking about the Maldives, why not go local instead? Banana Island is definitely worth a visit and will not disappoint!
