    A very special place

We stayed four nights at Barahi Jungle Lodge in early October. We have stayed in many top class hotels/lodges but I can honestly say that we received the best, most genuine, service ever. Management were visible and interested, and the entire staff team - reception, chefs, waiting staff, housekeeping and grounds - deserve to be highly commended. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The lodge sits on the river bank and the jungle feel of the place is very real, with accompanying sights and sounds, but at all times we felt very safe. A stay here is a truly immersive experience. A few glitches that come with such a setting were sorted as soon as we mentioned them. Food was really nice and plentiful. We had a mix of à la carte, buffet and barbecue. There is an inside restaurant and the outside seating was truly spectacular with all the lamps lit and cultural dance each evening. Of course the main reason to go there is for the safaris themselves. The lodge aims to provide a dedicated naturalist/guide throughout your stay to maximise your experience. We had Govinda as our guide and Sunil as our driver. Both were exceptional in every way ensuring we had the best sightings of animals and birds. In particular we had truly amazing experience of rhinoceros. Their ability to interpret the jungle and spot birds and animals is amazing. Worth knowing is that the lodge has access to both the Chitwan National Park and the Meghauli Community Forest. The national park was closed for our first two days, but we had the best sighting of the rhinos in the Meghauli forest. There are a variety of other jungle and cultural experiences available. Overall we had a wonderful stay, loved the whole experience, and it was difficult to leave for the rest of our itinerary. Thank you to Govinda, Sunil and everybody at this very special place.

    ONE OF A KIND!

One of the most incredible places I have stayed in my life. The place is just amanzingly beautiful, people are gentle and the room is sooooo comfortable: beautiful, well decorated and with so many nice amenities. There were banana and delicious candies waiting for us. I felt so pumpered! The place is right in front of the river from where you see lots of types of birds, swmim in their warm-water swimming pool and find a beutiful spa to relax. You can also get bikes to explore around local community. Breakfast is amazing! So many options in buffet and also external people preparing omelets and natural juice! Impecable service! This is actually the first time I pay a good hotel and I REALLY receive what I paied and more!
