    Warm and welcoming family-run apartments with beautiful sea views

    We had a really lovely stay at Barbati View. Georgios, Alexandros and Elena were very warm and welcoming. We arrived late by taxi and were offered a helpful lift to the supermarket before it closed, and then enjoyed sharing some wine. They also very kindly went out of their way to reunite us with some items we accidentally left in the room after our stay, which we greatly appreciated. Our room was attractively designed, spotlessly clean, and had very comfortable beds, and the kitchen was well equipped. Most of all we enjoyed the beautiful view of the sea from our balcony, where we had peaceful breakfasts and lunches in the sunshine. The pool was also very relaxing and quiet, with plentiful sun loungers during our stay. There is a short cut (less than 5 min) from the apartments to the main road where several good restaurants with sea views are clustered (and a great cocktail bar called Black Rose), and then another few minutes leads down to the beautiful white pebble beach with calm, clear blue-green water. We liked the closest beach club, Bahia Mare, which has very comfy loungers. The walk back up is of course steep, which would be difficult for people with mobility issues, but we found it to be good exercise. On the same level road as the apartments is a mini supermarket. We visited without a car and did day trips by bus to Kassiopi and Corfu Town, which worked well (though the buses tend to run late). We would visit again and would recommend Barbati for couples who are looking for a relaxing, comfortable and sophisticated stay.
