    A charming, cosy cottage with a fantastic log burner, a brilliantly equipped kitchen and a wonderful host.

    Barnholm Croft is a lovely, cosy cottage with plenty of character. The log burner was a real highlight, making the evenings particularly relaxing and welcoming. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, with everything you could possibly need for a self-catering stay. Petra was an excellent host – friendly, helpful and attentive, making us feel very welcome. A wonderful place to enjoy a peaceful break.

    The only real downside was the comfort of the sofa and bed, neither of which we found particularly comfortable. A more supportive mattress and more comfortable seating would make a noticeable difference, particularly when relaxing after a day out. These were relatively minor drawbacks in an otherwise very enjoyable stay.

    Clean ,comfortable , fab bathroom, log burner beautiful gardens lovely host. Location very well situated for solaway coast Galloway forest and Arran
