  It was a cosy stay, balcony for both rooms, great location, and great value for money.

  Location, cosy, value for money.

  The rules made it sound like we couldn’t really use anything, it said to leave how found. So l bought our own rubbish bags, and l wasn’t sure what l would be penalised for. But l must admit l was probably more wary than usual, due to an unpleasant experience at another BnB set up.

  Waste of time and money

  Unfortunately, this was one of the most stressful apartment stays we have experienced. We reported multiple hygiene and maintenance issues during our stay, including greasy and partially cleaned kitchenware, visible food residue on dishes, dust throughout the apartment and washing/drying machines that did not appear properly cleaned even after we were told a cleaner would attend. We specifically booked this apartment because we were travelling with a small child and needed reliable laundry facilities, yet we were unable to comfortably use them for most of our stay. Communication became increasingly unpleasant once we raised these concerns. After requesting assistance and partial compensation, we were told we had 30 minutes to vacate the apartment if we wanted any refund considered. We also moved fragile glass coffee tables purely for our child’s safety, yet this was repeatedly treated as inappropriate behaviour rather than being met with understanding. In the end, we left the apartment one night earlier without receiving any refund for the unused night. Unfortunately, Booking.com was also unable to provide an effective resolution or help both parties reach a fair agreement regarding the remaining nights in accordance with the stated policies. Overall, the apartment did not feel properly prepared or maintained for guests, and the way the situation was handled added unnecessary stress to our family trip.
