    Good for a solo traveller

    The bedroom was very pretty - barrel vaulted with original features and a lot of charm. The location, very close to the Upper Barrakka Gardens, was excellent, with a great view of the Grand Harbour from just outside the door. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, and the shower worked well.

    There is some black mould on the back kitchen wall, which is bare rock. The smell of it when I arrived was quite strong, although having the A/C on helped banish it. Per Valletta Stay's policy, I only got one set of bedding and two towels for a week's stay and since it was very humid and 30 degrees during the day that was not ideal. The lock was a bit temperamental.
