location is absolutely beautiful and feels like paradise. The natural surroundings are stunning and are undoubtedly the resort’s greatest asset. The late check-out option was a great benefit and much appreciated.
Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay were disappointing. Our airport transfer was poorly organised, as the driver forgot to pick us up and we had to wait around 40 minutes at the airport. We were also on our honeymoon, which the resort knew in advance. We did not expect anything extravagant, but a small gesture, such as a congratulatory card, would have been a lovely touch. Having received thoughtful honeymoon gestures at other hotels and even Airbnb accommodations, we were disappointed that there was not even a small acknowledgement of the occasion. The value for money also did not quite match our expectations, as the standard of accommodation and service did not fully justify the price. Finally, we felt that the 4.5% credit card surcharge was relatively high. The location is wonderful, but better organisation, more attention to detail and a more proactive approach to guest service would have made our stay much more enjoyable.

We highly recommend Barrier Beach.
We loved the overall vibe and the friendliness of the staff. Easy check-in and checkout process. The food was excellent and a good value.

Resort experience on the beach
A resort experience right on the beach. Reasonable snorkeling at the reef area and kayaks etc available. Good breakfasts and tasty lunch and dinner options. Staff in general were polite and considerate. Accommodation comfy and shutters great for airflow. Good deck area and great being able to access the deck from the shower. Spa treatment was great. Quiet.
3/4f height wall between bedroom and bathroom not great. Be aware that the beaches are private so you can't walk far.

Property and facilities were very clean, the place just needs a bit of an update, thought it was a little overpriced.
