A comfortable, value for money stay with excellent friendly service.
Staff were excellent as was the breakfast which still offered a daily buffet selection rather than bringing your buffet selection to the table. We stayed in a lovely room (suite) great comfortable bed and powerful shower. Nice neighbourhood close to the Chelsea Road shops and coffee shops.
No faults with the actual property itself and once we worked out the various bus routes (dont wait just for the one outside which is only an hourly service) getting into Bath was ok.

Nice Hotel but lacks amenities and character.
The room is nice- we had a junior suite on the very top floor - room 9. The view is nice. Bathroom is nice although shower could be a tad larger. It is a small box in a large bathroom. Parking is easy. Quiet at night. Staff friendly enough.
Kind of outside Bath center and the hotel itself has no character - lack of restaurant is a problem as what do u do in the evening but go to your room. There is a nice front room, as seen in the pictures, with a serve yourself bar, but no-one is in it and there is no bar person so no-one to talk to even if you wanted to go to it. The closest restaurant is the Boathouse which basically reheats food and is not very good. So you need to go to Bath for a meal or night out. Taxi is approx 12-13 pounds each way. Inside the hotel - the stairs are very steep and narrow. Although the price is probably in line with higher end rooms at Bath hotels - we paid 345 pounds per night - Friday and Saturday night - which having come from 5 nights at a London hotel which was far better for slightly more, I think I would pay more to stay in Bath, as there is more to do both day and night. We did not have breakfast as they don't start serving until 8.30am which is too late if you have tours or excursions planned and most start off in Bath which is 15-30 mins away. No microwave in the room but there is a fridge. Bathroom amenities are pretty cheap ones especially the shampoo - not boutique quality. Nice towels.
