Very enjoyable base for visiting Boston
The room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom had very comfortable soaking tub plus roomy shower. Staff from front desk to parking to luggage and room assistance were all professional and pleasant. We had one issue, the room safe did not work. Staff promptly attended to it but were unable to fix. We were moved to a different room that was just as nice as the original one, and the move went smoothly. Hotel location perfect for the North End and an easy walk to other attractions and public transportation to go further afield. We were happy to leave our car with the valet parking and forget about it while we were in Boston.
The ATM machine was out of order; and, it did not have a sign on it to that effect until we had a problem using it and brought that to the attention of the staff.

The Battery Wharf is now our only hotel destination in Boston!
The hotel is gorgeous, marble and extravagant and impressive. We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was a wonderful and pleasant surprise. There were lots of thoughtful details in the room like bottled water, a coffee maker with a variety of coffees and teas, iron and ironing board, slippers, robes, even an umbrella! The bathroom was modern and spacious (HUGE) and luxurious. And the wardrobe/closet had lights that came on automatically when the doors opened. The electronic "do not disturb" lights were really cool. And the service at the bar and restaurant were excellent. But the thing that made our stay remarkable was the staff. They were so kind and helpful and absolutely above and beyond expectations!
The curtains in the bedroom were a little off track or the track was a little broken maybe, so they were a little more difficult to close than the ones in the living room. And if that sounds a little nit-picky it's because it is, but it's literally the only criticism I could think of, if that gives you an idea of how great our stay was!

You pay for the facilities and location, but at this level of hotel, they should not rest on those laurels and instead n
Location and views from room.
3 towels in our bathroom despite the room being booked for 4 persons. No ESPN or ESPN 2 despite the TV guide showing those two channels. Almost as though the hotel got tired of paying for them but wanted guests to not know that. So I missed my team’s game during the only time I had alloted to spend at the hotel. I asked the front desk about it who claimed ignorance on the subject (as if I were crazy to expect they’d have the worldwide leader in sports, the standard, on their tvs). They said they would send an engineer to look at it but one never showed and no one ever followed up about it with us.
