Charming retro B&B in a great location!
Beachrunners Inn was quaint, charming, and comfortable. The room was adequately sized and had a closet, private bath, and a small table and chairs. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. The room was clean and suited our needs well. It was quiet, and there was no road noise. The location was great. It was an easy walk to East Fourth Street, where there were restaurants and other businesses. Bixby Park, the beach, and the Long Beach Museum of Art were only a few blocks away. The freshly prepared breakfasts were wonderful, and the menu changed daily.
None of our issues had anything to do directly with Beachrunners Inn. When we arrived at the Inn, there was a heatwave, with temperatures of 100°F each day. There was no air conditioning, and probably most of the time, it is not necessary. Despite the heat, we slept relatively well. Our room was upstairs and required climbing relatively steep stairs. As older folks, we found the stairs a bit of a challenge. In the future, I would consider a room on the ground floor.

We loved it
Breakfast was a home made cooking ❤️
No air conditioning. I am glad I stayed when the temperature was not over 79 degree . Showering with cold water help me fall asleep

Friendly, clean and hospitable Inn. Great location to Bluff Park as well as restaurants.
The Innkeeper was very kind and hospitable. My room was clean and comfortable. Great location for visiting friends nearby. Shops and restaurants were easy to get to. Very walkable including an easy walk to Bluff Park.
There was a parking space available but it was in the alley which was sketchy. I had to walk my luggage through the alley around the corner to the front to enter. There was no elevator. The innkeeper did carry my heavy suitcase upstairs for me which I was grateful for. My room was on the street upstairs, I could hear traffic and people walking by until late. I did notice the day after that there were earplugs and a sleeping mask available.
