  Great location but overall felt let down by the stay.

  Location was great.

  Bedding was dirty in the downstairs double. Floor and carpet in hallway were dirty. The hot tub had a scum round the top when switched on. One of the en suites had water coming out of the shower controls and the base was flooding. I felt as if the entire place hadn’t been cleaned after a previous stay.

  Loved the open plan and the house opening out onto the garden, which is why we chose this house. Three toilets and showers meant our family could have their own bathroom. The hot tub was a lovely bonus, very clean and with clear instructions about usage. The lovely welcome pack was appreciated. Very well thought of and tastefully equipped holiday home. Three generations - (6 people, 2 small children and dog) fitted in easily and comfortably. Hosts quick to get back to us by email when we had a query. We all loved the egg chair and fought over that! Travel cot and highchair were appreciated, as was the washing machine, tumble dryer and dish washer. We used the provided charcoal BBQ which was very nice. If the children had been older, they would've enjoyed the games room, which has a lot to offer children, especially on a rainy day.. we didn't get any of those! Sandbanks is beautiful with lovely sandy beaches and all the amenities you need. We also explored Bournemouth, Swanage and Lulworth Cove. Wareham isn't too far away, which is a lovely, quaint town. The house is on an estate, with a nearby bus stop for Poole, Bournemouth etc for members of the family who wanted to be more independent and didn't have access to a car. Nice park (Alexander) 10 minutes walk away for our dog with lovely volunteer ran coffee shop. Big Waitrose and Tesco Express very nearby. Our two year old loved spotting the dinosaurs outside someone's house and the neighbours were friendly. You can just about park two cars on the forecourt. Some street parking too.

  Although brilliant for families, perhaps more challenging with two active little boys as the garden steps and wall could be a bit hazardous, especially because some of the concrete has come away in one corner and the rendering is lifting and exposed. We blocked the steps with garden chairs, which was fine. Also, the door to the kitchen doesn't shut, which meant the active 2 year old was found exploring the kitchen in the dead of night. If we were able to shut this, he would've gone to his parent's room downstairs. It says a fully functioning kitchen, but no microwave, which was a bit of a pain considering we were steam sterilising bottles, warming baby food etc.. we bought a cheap one in the end fairly easily. It's quite a built up area, so not the place for loud, late parties etc. Not a problem for us - we were exhausted and in bed by 9.30 pm but you need to be aware of and sensitive to the neighbours. The rooms get hot, but to be fair, it was during a heat wave. We found it more comfortable if we closed windows, curtains and blinds during the day as anyone would do. Fans in the bedrooms would be welcome. The upstairs shower drained slowly and we had to keep an eye on it to make sure it didn't overflow. Fine for an adult, but something to be aware of and not to trust a child / sleepy teen to watch or there could be an overspill. Nothing enough to stop us booking again, but just things to be aware of.

  Overall enjoyable stay

  Nice house, nice bedrooms.

  Patio door windows very dirty. Some windows wouldn’t close. Garden on the small side. Wall in garden needs some repair.

  Fantastic House with great access to Poole and surrounding areas.

  A lovely property conveniently located for the beach, town and local amenities. Hot tub was a real bonus and the kids loved the house. Lots of space. Comfortable rooms. Didn't want for anything all weekend. Owner communicated well from booking to the end of the stay. Had a brilliant time and would recommend if visiting the Poole area.

  Parking a bit tight but fine for one or two vehicles although neighbours sometimes parked across entrance to drive making things cosy when reversing in. On street parking limited if you have guests or bring more than two cars.
