  A deeply disturbing experience. I would not recommend this accommodation

  Upon arriving at the apartment, I was shocked to discover a surveillance camera installed directly on the doorframe. I immediately questioned the host, who claimed that the camera only pointed towards the corridor and was installed for security purposes. The host also explicitly confirmed that the camera belonged to them and was not a camera installed or operated by the building management. I was subsequently told that the camera had been disclosed in the listing. However, mentioning a camera in an advertisement does not automatically justify its positioning or eliminate legitimate concerns about guests’ privacy. I have never encountered a surveillance camera installed directly on an apartment doorframe in a position that raises such serious concerns about personal privacy. Every time I returned to the apartment, the camera recorded my face at extremely close range. The device also recorded audio, raising further concerns about the extent of the surveillance. I have no idea where these recordings are stored, who has access to them, how long they are retained, or what happens to my personal images after they are recorded. I paid for private accommodation, not to have my face recorded at close range every time I entered my own apartment. Knowing that this was the host’s own camera, rather than a building security camera, made the situation even more concerning. I was left with serious unanswered questions about how my personal data was being handled. I requested cancellation because I felt deeply uncomfortable with the situation, but my request was refused. As a result, I had to spend 10 days in accommodation where I felt that my privacy was being compromised. Booking.com failed to provide a satisfactory resolution to my complaint.

  Unfortunately, the surveillance issue was not the only problem: • Noisy and inconsiderate neighbours who repeatedly disturbed the peace. • Significant noise from the nearby park, making the apartment less peaceful than expected. • Numerous insects inside the apartment, raising concerns about cleanliness. • Unprofessional checkout conduct: The cleaner attempted to enter the apartment 15 minutes before the official checkout time while I was still getting ready to leave. This was an unacceptable experience. Guests should be able to relax in their accommodation without worrying about being monitored or having their personal data recorded without clear information about how it is handled. The fact that the host claimed the camera was disclosed in the listing does not answer the fundamental questions about its positioning, audio recording capabilities, or the storage and use of the recordings. Guests deserve transparency, respect for their privacy, and clear information about who is responsible for surveillance equipment inside their accommodation. I deeply regret booking this property. Based on my experience, I would not recommend it to anyone who values privacy, comfort, and peace of mind. Think carefully before booking this accommodation.

  1 min to the shops 5 mins to the beach what more could you ask for .

  Lovely place in an excellent location.

  Lovely place in an excellent location, with beautiful natural light coming through the large windows. We had a very comfortable stay and really enjoyed it with our family. Highly recommended!
