A tourist trap
The scenery was lovely, kayaking was fun, and the bar staff were polite and friendly. What didn't go well:
This did not feel like a 4 star experience, especially for $196 a night which is pricey for Vietnam. The price dropped by $30 to $40 a few days prior, but management refused to match it even though we could still cancel. The cruise barely sailed for distance. The boat stayed anchored in the same spot for most of the trip, so you mostly look at the exact same view rather than cruising around the bay to see changing scenery. The schedule felt constantly rushed with barely any free time. Pickup was late, boarding happened around 1:00 PM instead of 12:00 PM, activities were cut short, and staff knocked on our door to rush us out by 10:30 AM on the last morning. In our room (cabin 207), the window could not close all the way, so boat exhaust fumes and kitchen smells drifted straight in. There was also a bad sewage odor from the bathroom , no hot water at night, no bath mat so the bathroom floor stayed wet, no hand towels, and no hand soap. The shower soap was watered down. Food was disappointing with small portions, drinking water was available by request or purchase, our request for an extra salad because we were still hungry was declined and we got a cucumber, the Wi Fi did not work. Finally, when we asked to clarify the plan because the guide was sometimes hard to understand, he got impatient, and later when they gave us a survey to fill about the stay he pressured us to change to 5 star review because he was offended.

Super site, un peu cher mais top
Bateau en bon etat, propre et personnel au petit soin - guide tip top - cuisine locale faite sur le bateau tres tres bonne.
La chambre avec balcon est tres bien mais les gaz d echappement du moteur noircissent pas mal le mobilier du balcon. Un bruit de fond type moteur qui tourne toute la nuit.
