Spacious - comfortable beds - laundry facilities - functional kitchen facilities

Out of 4 nights, I put the sign up for cleaning once. The towels and toilet rolls were replaced + rubbish bins were emptied. The tables were not wiped (I appreciate that we could do this), and the minimal cleaning was done. I didn't particularly care, but was a bit surprised. The accommodation was approx. 1.4 km walk from Cathedral Square, and it is easy and flat. However, Christchurch is a grid, so if you are walking from a venue, it may be a longer walk. If the weather is cold or wet and your health is compromised, the walk may be a bit far for some.
