    Retreat from the world

    This was idyllic. The view from inside the apartment was breathtaking, and the town itself was beyond charming. Exactly the retreat from the world we needed. The apartment itself was perfectly situated between the lake and the city of Berchtesgaden, and while the walk down to the lake was an easy and beautiful 30 min, their transit system all around was en Pointe and very reliable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, you could choose to add their lovely full breakfast to your stay, or decide day by day to buy it or not. The kitchen was sufficient for most use, but no oven so don't plan on baking a pizza, for example. I just cannot say enough about how beautiful, peaceful, and perfect it was for us. The whole experience has this town and these lodgings at the very top of all the places we visited in both Austria and all of Southern Germany.

    Well, in order to gain that gorgeous view, they are elevated above the pasture that separates them from the main road, so the walk up the street is a little steep, especially for folks pulling/carrying luggage. But we got used to it, and so will you. The location is 200% worth it.

    Die Pölster zum Schlafen waren nicht gut. Die Sauberkeit war nicht überall optimal.
