Great place, but could get amazing with a few fixes
The interiors of the rooms have excellent build quality, everything being massive wood. It has a in-room full blown kitchen (oven, stove, top quality cookware). Landlady "caught" us arriving and went out to help us to our room, even though it was past midnight. Unfortunately I didn't know the checkout is quite early (09:30) and only managed to clear the room about an hour and a half later, however the lady was very understanding and I thank her wholeheartedly.
There a few gimmicks I'd like to point out, in order of importance, mostly as constructive criticism rather than bad review: 1. German only. Both ladies I interacted with unfortunately dont speak English so if you can't Deutsch, Google Translate is going to be your only option 2. Lack of AC. I believe this is due to the usually cold area, rather than poor amenities, because the room/farm is really top quality on everything else. But it was incredibly hot during the nights and unfortunately we couldnt open the windows much - mosquitos would manage to get in via the window nets. 3. Full blown kitchen, top quality cookware, but no basic cooking supplies like oil and salt...it's really a pity, something so easy to fix. 4. On my first morning I couldn't find the cookware and because the farm is large and there are many people around but noone speaks english, I had to wait for more than an hour until getting in touch with the host who helped me find it :( 5. This is obviously subjective and I might not know the Bavarian accommodation market well enough, but in my opinion even though the location isn't bad (about ~45-1hr drive to either Munich or Bavarian Alps) and the comfort is good, the nightly rates are kind of pricey in terms of value for money - because after all it is a farm in a village and you need to drive anywhere you'd go.
