  Excellent location, walking distance to everything. The apartment was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Hosts communicated very well. Definitely recommend this apartment.

  We found it to be a well equipped apartment and furnished to a high spec - fully fitted kitchen with Bosch appliances and everything you need for a home away from home stay. It was very clean and felt more like staying in someone's home rather than a holiday let, which was nice. Comfortable beds and good towels provided. The apartment is well presented with interesting artwork and the owners clearly are big cactus fans. We were a family group of 3 adults with enough space and the very large outdoor terrace is a bonus as it creates another living area. The terrace provided a good range of seating, dining and sunbathing options and was the perfect place to enjoy an evening drink or fabulous gelato from the place over the road once the sun goes down. The master bedroom is lovely and spacious with lots of storage and wardrobe space. We stayed for a week so it was a real bonus for us. Location wise it was walkable to the main attractions and the river front with plenty of restaurants and bars close by for when the feet and calves were tired from the steep streets and cobbles. Don't be afraid of the lifts. Their exterior design is old with the sliding cage door but works fine and is a modern up to date inside. Good comms with the host after booking, on arrival and during the stay and available if needed. The apartment and the block felt very safe and secure. Key fob entry and security locks plus a small safe in the wardrobe (although it was not bolted down). Overall a really decent apartment.

  No door on the master bedroom ensuite. It's in the room next to the bed meaning the whole bathroom and toilet and you are on display so no privacy. No shade on the terrace which made it unusable for us during the daytime. Temps were mid to high 30's and the sun was relentless. Needs a large umbrella or sunshade like the adjacent balcony has to make it usable in the hot summer months. The name suggests it's a 'rooftop' apartment but there is actually an apartment above which overlooks the terrace as do some of the other higher residences in the block. The views from the terrace. While you can see the ornate Torre dos Clérigos from it, which looks great lit up at night, the rest of the vista from all sides is buildings, many of which are not in good shape, industrial aircon units and cranes across the skyline. The terrace itself is great but the outlook is quite ugly. Pretty panoramic views across Porto it is not.
