Had great experience
We stayed here with our family and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms were spacious, the houseboat was well maintained, and the staff were very cooperative. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful views made our trip even better. Thank you for the warm hospitality.

Highly recommended! Worth experiencing
Great location with incredible views of Dal Lake, especially during Sunrise. The boathouse itself was very stunning and full of Kashmiri charm and worth staying in. We stayed for 2nights, but I feel one night is enough. Location was great - short ride to Ghat 9 and it's in a quiet part so you're not disturbed by the passing traffic on the main road Staff were very friendly and available to speak to easily by phone/in person if need be. They were happy to accomadate to my wife's food allergies which was greatly appreciated! Good local breakfast was provided which we enjoyed
First night's meal was exceptional, but the second night wasn't as great but it's fine. Keep in mind that Shikara boats stop transportation at around 8pm so be sure to be back on the houseboat before then. This is a general rule and not specific to the houseboat

It is not worth paying INR 6552 approx 70 USD per night for such boathouse
Staff were courteous
No privacy locks for doors. Locks were not proper. Wash basin taps were not ok . Local trips on boats were a waste. More like supporting senior citizens which is like charity.

A perfect stay on Dal Lake!
A perfect stay on Dal Lake! The Best View Group of Houseboats really does have the finest location on the lake. The beautifully preserved heritage houseboats are full of character, wonderfully comfortable and rather luxurious. Breakfast was excellent, and the lovely garden is the perfect place to relax. Highly recommended. Farooq and his excellent team could not have been more welcoming or helpful.
